Heather Dahl isn’t afraid to tell people it took laser hair removal to achieve her super smooth skin. Her testimonial is a testament to how much she believes in her work as a certified laser technician and licensed master aesthetician.

“My natural hair color is almost black, and I used to have to shave twice per day because I had so much thick body hair,” Dahl said. “And I inherited my grandmother’s beard by the time I was 20. Laser hair removal was a life-changer, for sure.”

Changing lives for the better is what makes Dahl’s career fulfilling — she knows firsthand how it feels on the inside when you look your best on the outside. It can be, in a word, transformative. “The best part of my day is seeing the confidence in my patients, and how happy they are with their results.”

Dahl grew up in Kent and was drawn to dermatology after a 20-year career in another pretty business — jewelry. She even owned a store in Bellevue. A major life change made her pause and consider a new path. She still wanted to do something where she could build relationships, be creative, and offer something that people “couldn’t buy online!” like the jewelry she was selling. A dermatologist neighbor suggested aesthetics and lasers and now she’s been in the industry since 2005.

When she’s not at work, she’s sweating it out at her other obsession, Orangetheory fitness, and hiking, or paddle boarding. She recently started taking surfing lessons. This active woman never leaves home without her LIT pre-workout drink and her SkinCeuticals Lip Repair.

People also are surprised she’s a proud grandma — yep, grandma — to an 8-year-old. Perhaps that’s another testament to the power of selfcare through many avenues, including dermatology.
