Amy Sarkie has been practicing dermatology for more than two decades. She says getting to know her many patients is a privilege.
Before joining Strother Dermatology, the Mercer Island High School and University of Washington graduate founded and co-owned Northwest Skin Specialists, which closed in 2020. She moved on to work at Spectrum Dermatology of Seattle before joining Strother.
“My focus is medical dermatology,” Sarkie says. “I have always been interested in medicine and helping people.” She specializes in all aspects of medical dermatology, including acne, rashes, skin cancer screenings, and more.
When she’s not working, she is busy keeping up with her five grandkids and all their activities. She also loves being behind the camera photographing spectacular Northwest scenes. If she could meet one person, it would be Leonardo Da Vinci.
Her favorite quote is dedicated to the Taylor “Swifites” in her family, and it’s fitting for the way she moves through life, too: “No matter what happens in life, be good to people. Being good people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind.
