Graham Chriss, PA-C
Certified Physician Assistant
FLORIDA BORN & RAISED…
Graham Chriss is passionate about two things: seeing Beyoncé live (he’s seen her six times so far) and a great before-and-after photo.
"I love seeing my patient’s reaction when they look at their before-and-after photos after they’ve been successfully treated — so many chronic skin conditions like acne, eczema, psoriasis can take a major toll on your mental health and self-esteem. We truly can change someone’s life with a successful treatment,” Chriss says.
Before joining Strother Dermatology, Chriss worked as a Dermatology Physician Assistant in the Tampa Bay Area. He graduated from the University of South Florida’s Physician Assistant program and worked solely in dermatology. He has advanced training in medical, surgical, pediatric and aesthetic dermatology.
“Sometimes it can be an emotional moment after a patient felt like they would have to deal with their conditions for the rest of their life, but then find out that they can be successfully treated with a therapy they have never tried,” he says. “Dermatology is one of the few specialties where you can visibly see your results in real time, therefore it’s important that the treatments we choose actually work.”
Even though he grew up in Florida, he doesn’t miss the heat or humidity. He has plenty of extended family who live in the Northwest and fell in love with the area during visits with them, and always thought that one day he’d move here.
In addition to helping make patients feel great in their skin, he also understands firsthand the significance dermatology has regarding one’s overall health.
“Skin cancer also runs in my family and my mentor was the same provider that found and treated my mom’s melanoma,” Chriss says. “I also was able to see the patient experience of skin cancer treatment through my mother. I feel like this allows me to help educate my patients about their own diagnoses and treatments in ways they will understand.”
Chriss likes to garden, hike, and check out Seattle’s thriving art and music scene when he’s not at the clinic. Once an aspiring marine biologist, he might be found at local beaches, too. And you better believe if Queen Bey makes another appearance in Seattle, he will be there, too.
